**Your role and responsibilities**
As a QA Automation Engineer for IBM Manta Lineage, you will:
* Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts to ensure the reliability and accuracy of our product.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand product requirements and define test strategies.
* Work within our CI/CD pipelines, leveraging Jenkins to integrate automated tests seamlessly into the development process.
* Utilize GitHub for source code management and contribute to maintaining a robust and organized test suite.
* Apply your QA expertise to identify gaps in test coverage and implement solutions to improve product quality.
* Quickly adapt to new tools and technologies, demonstrating a strong ability to learn object-oriented programming languages such as Python or similar.
**Required technical and professional expertise**
* Solid experience in QA automation with a focus on delivering high-quality software.
* Proficiency in developing automated tests using object-oriented programming languages.
* Familiarity with CI/CD systems, preferably Jenkins, for automating test workflows.
* Experience with test case management tools, such as TestRail, to maintain test documentation.
* Understanding of source code management tools like GitHub.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
* Strong communication skills to articulate technical concepts and test strategies effectively.
**Preferred technical and professional experience**
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent), or relevant background
* Experience (or willingness) to work in a corporate software development environment
* Experience with Python and pytest for test automation.
* Knowledge of data pipelines or data flow processes.
* Previous experience working in Agile development environments.
* Proactive attitude and a passion for learning new technologies and tools.
