We are currently looking for a new colleague for a Software Engineer I rolefor our HONEYWELL INTELLIGRATED Projects team in Brno.

What will your future role look like?


As a Software Engineer for the Intelligrated project team you will be a part of our growing team! This is an exciting opportunity to join our broader Project Software Engineering team based at our company headquarters in Mason, Ohio as well.


The Software Engineer assumes a high-profile role in participating in the architecture, design, development, test, and integration of application software.

The Software Engineer I will be part of the team responsible for deployment of the Warehouse Control, Management and Execution System.

This means real-time controls, integrates machine control, manages flow of pallets and much more.

Your team will be simply managing all the operations when goods/material enter the distribution center until they leave.

You will learn how to implement the best practices and apply industry standards.

In this position you will be able to learn and grow and afterwards perform a variety of product engineering work to support the life cycle of material handling units and equipment.


Finally, you will get the chance to gain knowledge of what we do and become a full member of our team who after studies can further develop his career in our company.


This is a hybrid role, 3 days in office, 2 from home.

Key Responsibilities

  • Learn the software engineering expertise and design skills on assigned conveyor system projects, that may include researching, designing, writing, troubleshooting, and testing software programs; and create technical specifications and test plans.
  • Learn and improve timely execution, as well as the technical quality and functionality of the software design and implementation of assigned systems and subsystems by following technical specifications and design guidelines.

  • Deploy the code based on the specification from the customer.
  • Learn how to apply the latest software design and development tools and techniques.
  • Support onsite commissioning (travelling up to 40 %)

  • Key requirements

  • 1+ years of experience in continuous software development or various portfolio of individual projects
  • Portfolio of projects in programming languages such as C#, Java, C++ or Python demonstrating knowledge of OPP.
  • Debugging skills for simple programs using either written or verbal design specifications.

  • Willingness to learn and grow.
  • Very good command of English language.

  • We value

  • Experience of scripting languages like PowerShell or Bash.
  • Ability to develop working software.
  • Basic experience in testing and integrating the code for new or existing software while following source code revision control.
  • Understanding various software development lifecycle including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Passion for programming.

  • Teamwork skills and proactive attitude and communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, self-assign work, and function in a dynamic, fast-paced, development environment 
  • Embedded software experience.
  • Driving license type B
